Basalt Water Feature, Cobblestones, Cedar Arbor

in

 Vancouver

The goal of this Vancouver Landscape Design was to use low basalt walls to separate the patio from the stone cobble walkway as well as to give a sense of enclosure to the patio and create space for the desired garden areas and lawn.  Putting the garden and lawn in raised basalt planters solved the drainage problem on this property that was preventing the lawn from flourishing.  The narrow cedar trellis will be covered in vines and give  the tenants a separate private exit to the alley.  A stone water feature  made of basalt  adds interest and soothing sounds to the garden.  Low voltage lighting illuminates the garden and water feature at night.
